Terms of use

1.The service

DarFood lets cooks present homemade dishes and customers reserve them for pickup or delivery, then chat and leave a review.

DarFood is an intermediary: the sale is made between the customer and the cook. Payment is made directly between them, at the price confirmed at booking, upon pickup or delivery.

2.Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information.
• Verifying your email address is required to book, publish dishes and use some features.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity on your account.

3.Cooks' commitments

• Comply with food hygiene and safety rules and with the administrative and tax obligations that apply to your activity.
• Describe dishes accurately: ingredients, allergens, portions, prices, quantities and availability.
• Answer reservation requests and honour accepted orders.
• The “Verified kitchen” badge means DarFood has reviewed the documents provided. It is neither an official certification nor a guarantee.

4.Reservations and cancellations

• A reservation is a request until the cook accepts it. Availability and price are checked by DarFood when it is confirmed.
• A request left unanswered is cancelled automatically after 3 hours or once the chosen time has passed.
• The customer can cancel a pending or accepted reservation up to 2 hours before the scheduled time.
• The cook may cancel an accepted order if prevented; the customer is notified immediately.
• Only one promotion applies per order; its price is calculated by DarFood.

5.Allergies and food safety

Dishes are prepared in home kitchens and may contain traces of allergens that are not listed. If you have an allergy or a special diet, check the dish page and ask the cook through messaging before booking. Follow storage advice and eat dishes promptly.

6.Reviews

A review can only be left after a completed order, once per order. It must reflect a real experience and stay respectful.

7.Content and behaviour

• Forbidden: illegal, misleading, hateful or harassing content, spam, impersonation and attempts to bypass the platform's security.
• Any user can report a dish, a profile, a review or a message. After review, DarFood may hide content, remove a dish or deactivate an account.
• You keep your rights to the photos and texts you publish, and allow DarFood to display them on the platform to provide the service.

8.Liability

Each cook is responsible for the dishes they prepare and sell. DarFood operates the platform with care but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability; our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

9.Suspension and closure

DarFood may suspend or deactivate an account that breaches these terms. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, once your orders in progress are completed.

10.Governing law

These terms are governed by Tunisian law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first; failing that, the competent Tunisian courts will have jurisdiction.

We may change these terms; the update date is shown at the top of the page and significant changes will be announced.
